But now that slogan has been brought closer to home. Aspen Medical believes that our aging parents, friends and relatives should get the care and attention they so richly deserve during the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, Aspen Medical’s innovation is needed in aged healthcare across Australia.
With this in mind, the Australian Government is taking proactive steps and has commissioned Aspen Medical, who is heavily involved in the national response to COVID-19, to prepare a number of contingency measures to ensure that we as a community are prepared and able to assist elderly Australians should the need arise.
Aspen Medical has prepared two separate contingent measures on behalf of the Australian Government:
- We are building several Aged Care Emergency Retrieval Teams (ACERTs) – staffed and ready to deploy immediately if the workforce of any Residential Aged Care Facility is impacted in a major way by COVID19, and
- We are establishing an Aged Care Clinical and Essential Support Service (ACCESS) – a pool of staff ready and able to deploy at short notice to fill individual workforce gaps which may emerge in remote parts of Australia.
